Nitish Kumar's JDU is currently leading in 12 seats, with the NDA also leading on 12 seats, while the INDIA bloc is ahead in 8. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) holds the highest vote share in the state with 22.5% of the total votes polled.

Hajipur, a stronghold represented by Chirag's father, Ram Vilas Paswan, for nine terms, and later by his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras in 2019, witnessed speculation regarding its candidate. However, Chirag Paswan emerged as the chosen successor to his father in Hajipur, leading to the search for a candidate in Jamui.

Meanwhile, opposition parties, led by Tejashwi Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), are pulling out all stops to ensure their strength remains intact. Amid speculation of potential poaching, RJD MLAs' belongings were relocated to Tejashwi Yadav's residence in Patna.
