These claims were made by a Telegram channel which is allegedly run by a Kremlin insider

NEW DELHI: According to a Telegram channel called “General SVR”, which is reportedly run by a Kremlin insider, revealed that Russian president Vladimir Putin suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.

The channel stated that the Kremlin’s security personnel had found him lying on his bedroom floor at 9 PM, beside an overturned table with food and drinks.

“Probably, when the president fell, he hit the table and dishes and knocked them onto the floor, which caused the noise. Putin convulsively arched while lying on the floor, rolling his eyes. The doctors who were on duty at the residence and located in one of the adjacent rooms were immediately called,” the channel’s statement read.

According to the channel’s statement, the Russian President was shifted to a “specially equipped” room in his residence where doctors resuscitated him before taking him to an intensive care facility inside the residence’s vicinity. “Help was provided on time, the heart was started and Putin regained consciousness,” the channel had reportedly claimed.

The channel had earlier claimed that all the recent appearances by Putin had been carried out by body doubles. These claims, however, have not been verified.

“Recently, all official meetings and events have been conducted by the president’s double. After news of the evening incident, several people close to Putin contacted each other by telephone and agreed to hold consultations on Monday regarding possible actions if the president dies in the coming days,” the channel claimed. Further, the General SVR Group claimed that there had been several alleged reports from the Kremlin itself that Putin was suffering from cancer and/or Parkinson’s disease which they had mooted later, stating that Putin is in “good health”.

These claims of Putin’s deteriorating health have not been verified, however, these allegedly have alarmed his inner circle, according to the Telegram channel.
