J&K Cop Killed In Terror Attack

SRINAGAR: A Jammu and Kashmir policeman was killed in a grenade attack by terrorists in the Qaimoh area in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir Saturday night.

 The slain policeman was identified as Tahir Khan, a resident of Poonch district in Jammu. 

 “A grenade incident was reported Saturday night in Qaimoh Kulgam. In this terror incident, a police personnel namely Tahir Khan R/O Mendhar, Poonch, got injured. He was shifted to GMC hospital, Anantnag for treatment where he succumbed and attained martyrdom (sic),” Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.

On Saturday evening, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector was injured when terrorists threw a grenade at security forces in the Eidgah area of Srinagar city.

One grenade was lobbed by a terrorist (s) towards security forces on Ali Jan road, Eidgah. This caused minor splinter injuries to one CRPF personnel (sic),” the Srinagar police tweeted.
