The sleuths of Bihar’s prohibition police team were at the receiving end during an operation against illicit liquor in Patna. The incident took place on Wednesday when a group of women heckled, and strip-searched the police personnel on suspicion of theft while carrying search in their households in Bihta area of Patna. According to reports, people fled their households when prohibition police reached the spot. Women suspected that the police stole their valuable items while carrying out the search inside their household, following which an angry group of women checked the police, and strip-searched them. They removed their shoes, shirts and socks to look for the stolen items, and demanded they return the stolen items. Bihta SHO Sanovar Khan said that concerned senior authorities have been apprised of the incident and the matter is under investigation.
