NEW DELHI: Kartik Aaryan is all set to present himself in his first biopic, “Chandu Champion.” Following his roles in “Freddy” and “Dhamaka,” this highly anticipated drama is scheduled for release on Friday, June 14.

The movie is produced under Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner and directed by Kabir Khan. It is co-written by Sumit Arora and Sudipto Sarkar and portrays the inspiring story of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. Kartik Aaryan plays Chandu in this biographical sports drama, bringing to life the incredible journey of the determined athlete in freestyle swimming.

To ensure maximum viewership and make this compelling story accessible to a broader audience, the filmmakers have announced a special ticket price of Rs150 for the film’s opening day on Friday. This initiative aims to encourage more people to witness Murlikant Petkar’s remarkable journey of resilience and determination.

For the movie, the “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” fame actor underwent a significant transformation. He reduced his body fat percentage from 39% to 7% over 14 months to accurately portray Chandu. In the movie trailer and posters, his truly transformed body with visible abs has left viewers in awe. Director Kabir Khan stated that it was crucial to bring Petkar’s story to the audience.

In addition to Kartik Aaryan, the film features Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, and Aniruddh Dave in pivotal roles.

This movie marks the first collaboration between Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan, known for “83,” “Ek Tha Tiger,” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan.” The team also hosted a special screening in Delhi featuring the real-life hero, Murlikant Petkar. The final verdict on the movie’s success will be determined by the audience.
