In an exclusive interview with The New Indian Editor-In-Chief Aarti Tikoo, one of India’s most valorous soldiers Lt Gen (retired) Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, who had fought cross border terrorism through his six stints in Kashmir, spoke in length about what happened in 1989 that led to the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley.

In a rather candid discussion, Lt Gen (retd) Dhillon spoke in length about how the terrorism affected common Kashmiris, the challenges faced by the Indian Army, and about the removal of Article 370 among others. He also spoke about the significance of his iconic line: Kitne Ghazi Aaye, Kitne Ghazi Gaye!
