Outrage over Reasi attack: “All Eyes” trend gains momentum

JAMMU: Recently, after an Israeli airstrike on a refugee camp in Rafah, southern Gaza, numerous individuals, including children, lost their lives. In the wake of the attack, “All Eyes on Rafah” began trending on social media, with people voicing their condemnation and calling for an end to the violence. Similarly, in India, a trend called “All Eyes on Reasi” has emerged.

In a tragic incident, a bus carrying pilgrims to a temple in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district fell into a gorge after a major terrorist attack, resulting in nine fatalities.

The incident, occurring in Teryath village of the Poni area has left the nation in shock. Witnesses describe a horrifying scene as the bus, traveling from Shiv Khori to Katra, came under relentless gunfire. Reports indicate that the terrorists fired over 50 rounds, disrupting the peaceful journey of those onboard. The driver, hit by the gunfire, lost control, causing the bus to plunge down the steep slope.

The attack has also drawn reactions from several Bollywood celebrities who expressed their condolences and condemned the violence on social media.

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to express her outrage, stating, “I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on the pilgrims in Reasi, Jammu & Kashmir. They were going for Vaishnodevi Darshan and terrorists opened fire on them only because they were Hindus. I pray for the departed and hope for the swift recovery of the injured.”

Actress Rashmika Mandanna shared her grief with a post that read ‘All Eyes on Reasi,’ adding, “Hurts my heart hearing about this, so many innocent lives lost. My heartfelt condolences to all the victims and their families. Praying for the speedy recovery of all those injured.”

Varun Dhawan expressed his sorrow and condemnation on social media, writing, “Devastated by the horrific attack on innocent pilgrims in Reasi. I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist act. Praying for the departed souls.”

Veteran actor Anupam Kher took to his X handle to share his emotions, stating, “Angry, pained, and saddened by the cowardly attack on pilgrims in Reasi. Jammu! May Almighty give the loved ones of victims the strength to bear the pain and loss. Prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

Riteish Deshmukh expressed his heartbreak on social media, writing, “Heartbroken & devastated with the visuals of the Reasi terror attack. Prayers with the victims and families.”
