New Delhi: In a recent incident, graffiti reading “Free Kashmir” was discovered on the boundary wall of a residential area in Dwarka Sector 13, Delhi. The Delhi Police have lodged an FIR against unknown persons for defacing property.

The police were alerted to the incident on June 10, when they received a call reporting anti-India slogan written on the wall of DDA flats in Dwarka Sector 13. Upon investigation, the police found the ‘Free Kashmir’ graffiti on the wall, as reported by a senior police official.

The graffiti, made with red color, is suspected to be the work of individuals with Naxalite leanings. The police have lodged an FIR under section 3 of the Defacement of Property Act.

This is not the first instance of anti-India slogans being found in the capital. Previously, individuals affiliated with Gurpatwant Singh Pannu’s Sikh for Justice (SFJ) were apprehended for writing anti-India and threatening messages aimed at the Prime Minister. Those cases are currently under investigation by the special cell of the Delhi Police.
