Gandhi skipped the first summons on June 8 as she tested positive for Covid-19 on June 2 and was admitted to Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The agency sent second summons, asking her to appear before it on June 23. In response, she wrote to the agency expressing inability to comply with the notice, citing health issues.

The financial probe agency had already questioned her son and former party president Rahul Gandhi for more than 54 hours for five days between June 13 and June 23 in the money laundering case involving the National Herald newspaper.
