WATCH | UCC: Kerala’s Muslim women demand amendments in personal law, common succession rules

Thousands of Muslim women in Kerala have been fighting for amendment to the Muslim Personal Law, which, they say, discriminates against women in matters of inheritance. They argue that the personal law is outdated and arbitrary, and demand for a common code.

The New Indian special correspondent Vivek Narayanan travels to different parts of Kerala to gauge the mood on the ground.
