NEW DELHI: In an exclusive interview with The New Indian’s Executive Editor, Rohan Dua, Aamir Khan highlights his take on Sensuality and Violence.
The Interview was held in Santacruz, Mumbai. The New Indian Team was invited by the Aamir Khan Production House for the conversation in reference to the movie, ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ that was released on 20th June, 2025.

“I’m not in favor of exploiting sex and violence too much in films.”
Aamir Khan underlines the impact of his films on children and how he wants the youth to learn something good from his films. He remarked how he wants the youth, majorly, kids of the age 12 and 14 not to learn anything that is near to objectifying or eve teasing women.

Reflects on his initial mistakes
“Earlier in my career, I’ve done songs like Khambe Jaisi Khadi Hai, Ladki Hai Ya Chhadi Hai. Now, that’s objectifying women. Today, I probably wouldn’t do such a song.”

While remembering his initial days in the industry, Mr. Khan, didn’t understand sensuality and objectification of women that well. He remarked that he just liked the song and did it. He didn’t think much. “But it’s a process.” As he got mature, he started to understand the impact his work can have on people.
Reflecting on his mistakes, he also remarked upon having done many responsible roles as well. Like in Sarfarosh in 2000.
In Aamir Khan’s career, we do see him playing many characters that have social responsibility. For example, his character in Taare Zameen Par, talked about being fai to children suffering from dyslexia.
Cinema is powerful, can be noted while he talked about the impact of his movies. It can influence thought and culture. Through his evolving choices, Aamir Khan continues to set an example, prioritizing meaningful storytelling over fleeting trends.
