Present at the site are Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, overseeing the ongoing rescue and evacuation efforts.

Rescue operations are in full swing, with nearby hospitals on high alert. A multitude of emergency teams, including NDRF units, Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force units, fire rescue teams, doctors, police personnel, and ambulances, have been urgently deployed to the site.
