NEW DELHI: In a significant and heartfelt gesture of devotion, Sanjiv Goenka, chairman of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group and owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), donated gold ornaments worth approximately ₹3.63 crore at the sacred Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) temple.

 

The donation included a set of exquisite gold ornaments weighing around 5.267 kilograms, intricately designed and studded with precious diamonds and gemstones. These valuable offerings were presented to Lord Venkateswara, the presiding deity of the Tirumala temple, one of India’s most revered pilgrimage sites attracting millions of devotees every year.

 

The formal handover ceremony took place at the Ranganayakula Mandapam within the temple complex, where the gold was received by TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary. Sanjiv Goenka was accompanied by his family during the visit, highlighting the personal and spiritual importance of this act.
