India needs caste census with full force & I am a strong votary of this. Here’s why:
1. It’s a paradox when we say Art 15 says Constitution doesn’t discriminate. It does. Less than 25% of judges in HCs are from OBC, SC & ST. How else do you expect parity?
2. Article 340 of Constitution allows President to appoint a commission to investigate conditions of socially and educationally backward classes.
3. The fact that since 1931, no previous government showed iron will even on paper till Apr 30, 2025 shows how pseudo narratives that were built to sidestep Mandal Commission study first in 1983 and dump Kelkar commitee report in 1957 earlier with disdain by Indira & Nehru govts for 20 years between them.
4. That our references Ramayan taught us to identify & respect caste through Shabri & Valmiki is most sacrosanct. Yet it took PM Narendra Modi to wash the feet of sanitary workers in 2019.
5. That India’s literacy rate for OBCs, STs & SCs that struggled to even cross 75% till 2011 due to lack of intent & penetration in UP & Bihar is now slowly catching up, at 87.9 %,with the privileged rest of India from other classes, at 92.02% till 2023.
6. For at least 3 decades, UPA used caste bait to only benefit Muslims, recent example being Karnataka where OBC share was given away & earlier being Andhra.
7. In Europe, all member OECD countries are required to annually submit region-wise statistical methodolgy to understand scientific assessment of crimes, education standards, welfare schemes, health deficiencies and overall success.
8. That we come from a country where เคตเฅเคฆเฅเค เคเฅ เคฐเคเฅเคฏเคคเคพ, Veda Vyasa was a product of Indiaโs first inter-caste union, born to Rishi Parashara, and a kewat’s daughter Satyavati.
9. That if there are 175 references to kshatriyadharma in Mahabharat, the vaisyadharma and sudradharma too have nine and siz references, reiterated by a Yadav parivar born Bhagwan Krishan to a kshatriya Arjun.
10. As a Kshatriya myself, I stand shoulder to shoulder with my countrymen and lawmakers to commission this census and ensure delivery of welfare schemes. The determination of Modi 3.0 is the duty of every Indian to unite this country against evils of Pahalgam to 26/11.
