JHALAWAR:  As the electoral wave further intensifies the already sweltering weather of Rajasthan by a few more degrees, The New Indian team reaches Jhalawar-Baran along with its nearby villages and towns to understand the mood of the voters

Jhalawar-Baran, once under the constituency of Vasundhara Raje, is now known for her son Dushyant Singh. As The New Indian team gauges public sentiments on the grounds of the Jhalawar constituency, people express their inclination towards the incumbent leader.

Kartik Lavanshi, a student voter, tells The New Indian, “Dushyant will win; he can also become a minister.”

In a nearby village to the district, boasting of the Hanuman Temple known as Khamkheda Balaji, that has earned its reputation for exorcism, treating evil spirits and ghosts, there’s a belief that Dushyant will win this time too.

A florist at the temple premises, Ram Jeevan Meena, says, “BJP will win.” Another owner, Rakesh, adds “In the name of Balaji, ghosts run, so he will also ensure Dushyant’s win and his chance to become a minister.”

Regarding the development that Dushyant has brought to the region, everyone mentions the induction of train infrastructure as the primary development, including water in households. On the other side, female voters of Khuri village mention facing water scarcity but are still ready to vote for Modi.

One of the voters, Radha Bai, a housewife, says, “God knows who will become the PM, but we like Modi and Vasundhara. The water problem is still there, but still, I will vote for Modi.”

The Modi wave also remains in Ametha, a small town in Jhalawar, where locals only speak of one name, Dushyant

Lekhraj says, “BJP, we only want BJP. Dushyant has brought water to households and trains.”

Another local Lalchand, also adds the same sentiment, “BJP will win; we are happy with Dushyant.”
