NEW DELHI: The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has set a bold vision for the state’s youth — to turn them from job seekers into job givers. Through sweeping reforms in education and skill development, the government aims to shape a generation capable of creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
At the heart of this transformation lies Mann’s mission to build a “Rangla Punjab” — a vibrant, self-reliant, and prosperous state. The cornerstone of this effort is equality of opportunity, ensuring that financial limitations never obstruct a child’s education.
To realize this vision, the government has invested ₹231.74 crore in establishing 118 ‘Schools of Eminence’, which CM Mann describes as “modern temples of learning.” These institutions provide free uniforms, free bus services for girl students, and access to world-class education facilities. During a recent visit to the School of Eminence in Morinda, Mann reaffirmed his government’s commitment to restoring faith in Punjab’s public education system.
Understanding that classroom education alone isn’t enough in today’s competitive era, these Schools of Eminence are also offering specialized coaching for exams like NEET, JEE, CLAT, NIFT, and Defence Services. Mann emphasized that this initiative equips students to compete on global platforms while building confidence and resilience.
The results are already visible. In the last academic cycle, 265 students from government schools qualified JEE Mains, 74 cleared JEE Advanced, and 848 cracked NEET. Such achievements, once considered possible only in expensive private institutions, are now emerging from Punjab’s public schools — a testament to the Mann government’s focused reforms.
But education for Mann is not just about academic excellence — it’s about empowerment and leadership. The ‘School Mentorship Program’, launched by the government, connects senior state officers with students, guiding them through real-world experiences, career advice, and personal development. This direct engagement aims to produce confident, career-ready young leaders who can think independently and act boldly.
CM Mann reiterated that his government’s long-term goal is to channel the energy of Punjab’s youth toward innovation, entrepreneurship, and nation-building. By fostering a culture of creativity and self-reliance, the state is preparing a generation that can lead industries, launch startups, and create jobs for others.
“This is not just an education reform—it’s a revolution,” Mann declared. “We are shaping citizens who will drive the future of Punjab, not wait for opportunities but create them.”
Through these education-focused initiatives, the Mann government has laid the groundwork for a brighter, self-sufficient Punjab, where every student is equipped to transform their dreams into reality. The journey from classrooms to enterprises has begun — and with it, the dawn of a truly Rangla Punjab.
