NEW DELHI: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended a warm reception to United States Vice President JD Vance, his spouse Usha Vance, and their children at his official residence located at Lok Kalyan Marg in the national capital.
During their meeting, Prime Minister Modi personally guided the Vance family through his home, offering them a glimpse into the residenceโs cultural and architectural elements.
Following their interaction, the Prime Minister is set to host an official dinner in honour of Vice President Vance, his wife Usha Chilukuriโwho traces her roots to Indiaโand the accompanying American delegation comprising senior officials.
The high-level discussions between the two leaders took place as India aims to reach a timely trade understanding with the United States that could potentially protect it from further tariff escalations imposed under former President Donald Trumpโs administration.
