NEW DELHI: Artists rooted in Punjab are now openly saying they feel safer in their home state compared to countries like Canada, where gang wars and criminal activities are common. The improved environment in Punjab has given them confidence to live and pursue their careers without fear.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government has prioritized safety and peace, and the prompt actions of Punjab Police have strengthened trust among residents and artists alike. In recent times, the police have taken strict action against gangsters and criminal groups, ensuring that threats are taken seriously and the security system is reinforced.
Punjabi artists living abroad, especially in Canada, often face insecurity due to rising criminal incidents and gang wars. In contrast, Punjab offers both security and a sense of belonging, supported by family, fans, and law enforcement.
Famous singer Karan Aujla stated, “I feel insecure in Canada, but in Punjab, because of Punjab Police and the Punjab Government, I feel much safer.” Similarly, singer Mankirat Aulakh remarked, “If there was a police force like Punjab Police in Canada, gangsterism would end there. Punjab Police is the strongest police in India.” Their statements reflect not only the strength of Punjab Police but also the deep trust artists place in them.
The Mann government has made it clear that Punjab’s peace and harmony will not be compromised. Ensuring the safety of both artists and common citizens remains a top priority, and thanks to the firm resolve of the government and the effectiveness of Punjab Police, Punjab has emerged as a safe and secure environment for all.
