Magnitude 5.4 earthquake hits north India

NEW DELHI: Strong tremors were felt in Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and other parts of north India around 1:33 pm on Tuesday.

The intensity of the earthquake has been ascertained at the magnitude of 5.4 on the richter scale with its epicentre in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, as per the National Center for Seismology.

Apart from India, the earthquake was felt in parts of Pakistan and China.
