NEW DELHI: A resurfaced video has brought to light the use of accountability software by Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson to monitor internet activity, with a specific focus on preventing access to explicit content. The revelation occurred during a discussion on the ‘War on Technology’ at Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, Louisiana, and was recently uncovered by an online user.

In the video, Johnson disclosed his use of “accountability software” known as Covenant Eyes, which he installed on his devices to deter access to explicit content and inappropriate websites. Johnson expressed pride in his son for maintaining a clean slate.

Notably, Mike Johnson has a history of staunchly advocating anti-abortion and far-right Christian nationalist beliefs. He has affiliations with the anti-LGBTQ organisation Alliance Defending Freedom and has previously linked school shootings to abortion and the teaching of evolution.
