AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal has escalated his attack, launching the hashtag #AmitShahKiGundagardi on social media.

NEW DELHI: The war of words between AAP and BJP has intensified ahead of the Delhi elections. After writing to the Election Commission alleging attacks on AAP volunteers by BJP workers and Delhi Police in the New Delhi constituency, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal has now escalated his attack, launching the hashtag #AmitShahKiGundagardi on social media.

Kejriwal alleged that Delhi Police had been instructed not to take action against BJP workers. “As the election nears, AAP’s wave is getting stronger, and BJP’s seats are shrinking. Delhi Police has been directed not to act against BJP workers,” he said.

Kejriwal urged people to use the hashtag if they face any violence or intimidation, encouraging them to share their experiences on social media. “Do not fear. Stand up against them and expose their actions,” he added.

Taking direct aim at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Kejriwal alleged, “Amit Shah has unleashed hooliganism in Delhi. AAP workers and common people are being attacked openly, and videos of these incidents are surfacing. Despite evidence, no action is being taken. This is BJP’s frustration due to fear of defeat.”

AAP’s official handle also posted on X, alleging that BJP workers were threatening AAP volunteers in Kalkaji and forcibly seizing campaign materials. “Amit Shah’s Delhi Police has given BJP goons a free hand,” the post read.

Delhi CM Atishi also raised concerns on X, sharing a video of an alleged attack on AAP workers in Govindpuri. “BJP workers are resorting to violence in sheer desperation,” she wrote.

Kejriwal further accused BJP of using coercion to force people into joining the party. “They are threatening jobs and livelihoods. If you don’t join BJP, they will ruin you. This is why people in Delhi are living in fear,” he claimed.

He also criticized BJP for lacking a clear vision for Delhi, stating, “They have no roadmap, no CM face, and no future plans. All they do is make baseless claims.”
