NEW DELHI: With elections around the corner, BJP candidate from Rajouri Garden, Manjinder Singh Sirsa has accused AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders of misusing Punjab government property for election-related activities.
Sirsa, who is contesting against AAP’s Dhanwati Chandela, took to social media to share images of Kejriwal, Delhi’s current CM Atishi, former, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia and other AAP members having lunch at Kapurthala House, Punjab Bhawan.
Posting the pictures on X (formerly Twitter), Sirsa wrote, “Irony died a thousand times when @ArvindKejriwal spoke about ‘Misuse of Public Funds’… while sitting in the dining hall of Kapurthala House, a Punjab government property!”

He further alleged that the property was being used for AAP’s election campaign, calling it unconstitutional and illegitimate. “This is a blatant, unconstitutional, and illegitimate use of Punjab Govt’s resources for @AamAadmiParty’s political propaganda,” he tweeted.
Sirsa also expressed frustration over the Election Commission’s inaction, stating, “@ECISVEEP, despite my previous complaints about AAP misusing Punjab Bhavan for election campaigns, no action has been taken… allowing repeated violations.”
Demanding immediate intervention, he urged authorities to take strict action against Kejriwal and his team, emphasizing the need for fair elections. “I demand an immediate investigation and strict action against Kejriwal & his team to uphold fair elections and accountability!”
Meanwhile, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has written to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, alleging that AAP volunteers in the New Delhi assembly constituency are beingdRUSHTI attacked and intimidated by BJP workers and Delhi Police.
In his letter, Kejriwal has demanded the appointment of independent observers in the constituency, ensuring the safety of party volunteers.
He has also called for the immediate suspension of police officers involved in the alleged incidents and the arrest of BJP workers responsible for the attacks.
