Hours After Joining BJP, Shehnaaz Gill’s Father Escapes Bullet

PUNJAB (CHANDIGARH): Few hours after joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh was allegedly shot at in Amritsar. Luckily, Sukh escaped unhurt in the firing, and a case has been registered against two unknown men. Police started an investigation into the matter.

It has been reported that Shehnaaz’s father was alone inside the car seated at the driver’s seat. He in his complaint told police that two men stopped their motorcycle near him. It had been reported that when Sukh rolled down the windows to identify the men, he was shot at.

He also told police that soon after the bullet sound, his security guards threw bricks at the men who fled from the spot. The incident happened after Santokh Singh Sukh joined the BJP. Punjab Assembly elections are scheduled for early 2022.

A case has been registered at Jandiala Guru Police station. The police officer said the team recovered four empty shells from the spot.

Notably, film actress Shahnaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday. A famous television actress and Bigg Boss 13 contestant, has become popular. Many leaders of Congress, SAD, AAP and BSP also joined the BJP during a function organized at the state headquarters of BJP in Chandigarh. State General Secretary Jeevan Gupta, Dr. Subhash Sharma, Rajesh Bagha, Dayal Singh Sodhi were also present. Santokh Singh Sukh had contested assembly elections in 2014 and Lok Sabha elections in 2019 from Khadoor Sahib seat.

Just a few months back, Santokh Singh Sukh expressed his disappointment in front of an entertainment channel as Shehnaz Gill was in Chandigarh for a shoot but didn’t visit her family. Santokh told the channel, “She is just two hours away from her house, but she has no time to meet even her family members.”
