BJP ally Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) also mounted an attack on the JDU-RJD-Congress alliance government, saying common people had lost faith in CM Nitish, who once earned the moniker “Sushasan Babu” for good governance.

On back foot, the chief minister said that he had promptly ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. IG Suresh Chaudhary was sent to Araria from Purnia to oversee the progress of investigation.

Meanwhile, the Press Club of India has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the heinous murder, calling the incident a “cowardly act” and called upon Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to ensure swift and decisive action against the culprits.
