NEW DELHI: Today, June 14, marks the 4th death anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput, the gifted Bollywood actor whose untimely passing shocked fans and sparked conversations about mental health and the pressures of the industry. It’s a day that brings back painful memories for the nation and Rajput’s fans, as he tragically left on June 14, 2020, in a devastating act of suicide, leaving everyone in shock and disbelief.

Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut with the film “Kai Po Che!” in 2013, which is a commendable adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel “The 3 Mistakes of My Life.” The film truly stands out as an excellent portrayal of the novel and marked a significant start to Rajput’s career. His final film, “Dil Bechara,” was released posthumously in 2020, where he portrayed Manny, a character dealing with a terminal illness, and his journey of love and positivity with Kizie, played by Sanjana Sanghi. His life-changing film was Ms Dhoni – The Untold Story which was a biopic on Caption Cool (Ms Dhoni) of the Indian cricket team. An Indisputable effort by Sushant singh Rajput in this biopic.

Beyond his acting career, Sushant was also trained by NASA as an astronaut, preparing for the 2024 moon mission, showcasing his diverse talents and aspirations. He continues to be fondly remembered by his supporters, reflecting on his multifaceted persona and contributions.

Sushant Singh Rajput had a deep passion for astrophysics, string theory, and Saturn. He owned an advanced telescope called LX-600 and often dreamt of visiting the LIGO Lab in America to delve deeper into his cosmic interests. During the filming of “Sonchiriya,” he even took this telescope to Chambal, allowing himself and the crew to immerse in the beauty of nebulae, celestial formations of dust and gas in space.

His unique fascination with the cosmos extended to his personal life, where he often engaged in stargazing and reportedly purchased a plot on the moon, symbolizing his love for the universe. Sushant would eagerly showcase the moon and stars to every visitor at his home, creating magical moments and memories, as recalled by actress Shraddha Kapoor, who fondly remembered Sushant showing her the moon through a telescope.
