Day 3 of Dota 2 at the EWC 2025 brought high-impact results in Groups A and B, further shaping the race to the playoffs. The group stage continued in a best-of-two (BO2) round-robin format, with teams awarded three points for a 2–0 win, one point each for a 1–1 draw, and zero for a 0–2 loss.
In Group A, Team Spirit delivered a powerful 2–0 win over Natus Vincere, breaking the deadlock at the top of the group and positioning themselves as frontrunners for playoff qualification. Spirit have now racked up 7 points from three series, emerging as the most consistent force in the group. In the other Group A match, TALON Esports and Xtreme Gaming played out a 1–1 draw, which helped both teams stay afloat in the standings but did little to boost their chances of overtaking Spirit.
Over in Group B, BB Team continued their incredible run by securing a 2–0 sweep over Execration, extending their unbeaten streak to three series. With 9 points from three clean wins, BB Team remain the most dominant squad in the tournament so far. Meanwhile, Team Falcons and Gaimin Gladiators fought a hard-fought series that ended 1–1, allowing both teams to add to their tally but leaving the second playoff spot still up for grabs.
As Day 3 concludes, BB Team and Team Spirit lead their respective groups with undefeated records and maximum points from their series wins. With just a few matches left in the group stage, the pressure is mounting on teams like NaVi, Execration, and Falcons to deliver big performances if they hope to stay in playoff contention.
