Lanning highlighted the WPL’s influence. “It has helped local players grow. They are improving fast with more opportunities,” she said. “The league provides exposure to a high level of competition, which is crucial for their development.”

Key Players and Young Talent

Batty is excited about young talents. “Niki is a big name for us,” he said. “Young players are pushing experienced ones, creating healthy competition. They are working hard and showing great potential.”

The team held a pre-season camp in Pune. “Practice games were valuable,” Lanning said. “They helped players get into rhythm and adapt to match situations. We are now fine-tuning before the opener.”

Batty emphasized the importance of consistent performance. “The last two seasons were fantastic. We just need to maintain our quality and make slight improvements,” he said. “Our domestic players have trained hard and are ready to make an impact.”
