Congress MP Bittu Meets PM Modi In New Delhi

Congress Lok Sabha MP from Ludhiana, Ravneet Singh Bittu called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday.

NEW DELHI: Congress Lok Sabha MP from Ludhiana, Ravneet Singh Bittu called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday.

Bittu, who is seen as a Hindu face of the Congress since the assassination of his grandfather former Chief Minister Beant Singh in 1995, had tweeted photographs of the meeting.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “Today met the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi Ji and discussed issues of Punjab.”

The meeting of Bittu with PM Modi weeks after the grand old party was decimated in the recently-concluded assembly elections in the state by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The Punjab unit of the Congress is yet to comment on the meeting.

Meanwhile, party leaders in Delhi asserted that too much should not be read into the meeting.
