In addition to commemorating Kargil Vijay Diwas, PM Modi will virtually carry out the first blast of the Shinkun La Tunnel Project which will provide all-weather connectivity to Leh, enhancing both civilian and military logistics in the region.

Faculty members from prestigious technical institutes, including IITs and NITs, will lead these projects, each with a budget of up to Rs 10 lakh and a six-month completion timeline. 

The initiative, led by the Government of India in collaboration with state governments, is designed to provide crucial support to FPS operators, improving their sustainability and service offerings.
