Samrat Chowdhary and Vijay Sinha to be Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar

PATNA: In a swift and calculated manoeuvre, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has orchestrated a dynamic leadership transition in Bihar following the resignation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The party’s strategic legislative meeting held in Patna on Sunday resulted in the election of Samrat Choudhary as the leader and Vijay Kumar Sinha as the deputy leader of the legislative party.

This strategic move comes against the backdrop of the Mahagathbandhan government’s collapse, signifying a substantial realignment of political forces in the state.

Expressing his jubilation, Samrat Choudhary remarked, “Today, BJP has scripted a historic chapter in my life. My sincere thanks to Honorable PM, Home Minister Amit Shah, and party president JP Nadda. Under the guidance of election in-charges Vinod Tawde and Deepak Prakash, I had previously been appointed as the state president in Bihar and also the leader of the opposition. This newfound honor is truly humbling.”

Former Bihar Deputy CM and BJP leader Tarkishore Prasad expressed confidence in the newly elected leaders, stating, “Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha have been elected as leader and deputy leader of the legislative party, respectively. Most certainly, they will be our face for the deputy CM position.”

The astute move positions Choudhary and Sinha as potential candidates for the Deputy Chief Minister roles, assuming Nitish Kumar’s reins with BJP’s backing.

Samrat Chaudhary has been elected as the Leader of the legislative party, Vijay Sinha elected as the Deputy Leader.”

The potential elevation of Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha to the Deputy Chief Minister positions adds intrigue to the unfolding political drama. Observers note that this move might not only secure the deputy CM roles but also positions them as potential Chief Ministerial candidates.
