In a remarkable encounter, an entitled politician’s confrontation with a courageous police officer on the roads of Uttar Pradesh ended with the former going home ‘retired hurt.’ The incident unfolded when a Black Skoda, carrying Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and his son, was stopped by the police at a check post near Bapu Mall. The police intervention seemed to upset Azam Khan, prompting him to step out of the vehicle to argue his case. However, the brave police officer on duty, DSP Anuj Choudhary, stood his ground despite the power and influence of Azam Khan. An argument ensued between them, during which Azam Khan rhetorically asked, “Do you remember Akhilesh Yadav’s favor?” to which DSP Anuj Chaudhary aptly responded, “No one receives the Arjuna Award based on favors.”
