Visit Amarnathji Shrine Before Aug 5: J&K LG

J&K LG Manoj Sinha took part in Shri Amarnathji Chhari Pujan

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today advised the visitors to visit the holy shrine of Amarnath before August 5 as inclement weather is expected from the second week of this month.

LG Sinha also took part in Shri Amarnathji Chhari-Pujan in presence of Deependra Giri, Mahant Charri‐Mubarak Shri Amarnathji, at Mahadev Gir Dashnami Akhada here.

The Chhari-Pujan was performed on the auspicious occasion of Shravan Shukla Panchami and is one of the important rituals before the culmination of the annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnathji Shrine.

While performing the Chhari Mubarak Pujan, LG Sinha prayed for sustained peace, progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir and for the well-being of the people.

Speaking on the sidelines of Pujan, the LG said that over three lakh pilgrims have visited Shri Amarnathji Shrine, and advised the devotees to visit the Holy Shrine before August 5, as inclement weather is expected from the second week of this month.
