NEW DELHI: A shocking video of popular YouTuber and Big Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav surfaced on social media, on Saturday, where he was almost beaten up by a mob in Jammu.

The video has sparked concerns about the safety of celebrities in public places.

The incident reportedly occurred recently when Elvish Yadav and producer Raghav Sharma visited the renowned Vaishno Devi temple. In the video, the duo was seen surrounded by a furious mob. While Elvish managed to escape, a man was captured on camera grabbing Raghav’s collar and dragging him.

According to media reports, the altercation ensued when a man approached Elvish and Raghav, requesting to take pictures with them. However, they declined, triggering the individual to confront the duo in a violent tussle.

The happenings of the entire tussle were corroborated by Elvish too.

This incident comes on the heels of Elvish making headlines a few weeks ago for his alleged involvement in the Noida snake venom case. In November, the Big Boss sensation, along with five others, faced legal trouble for allegedly supplying snake venom for recreational purposes at a party in Delhi-NCR.

The complaint was filed by an animal welfare activist associated with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Maneka Gandhi’s NGO, People For Animals.

The complaint detailed a ‘sting operation’ where Elvish was contacted to organise a rave party and procure Cobra venom.

“Elvish gave us the name of one Rahul whom we contacted. He said he could organise the venom wherever we wanted. He then came to Sector 51 Banquet Hall with the venom. The Noida police, along with the DFO, subsequently arrested the organisers,” stated the complaint.

While five individuals were arrested in connection with the case, the YouTuber has consistently refuted the allegations. He pledged to cooperate with the investigation, asserting, “I will take responsibility if even 1 per cent of my involvement in this is proved. The media should also refrain from defaming me unless my involvement is thoroughly probed.”
