NEW DELHI: Vaibhav Arora is thrilled to return to Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. After playing a crucial role in KKR’s title-winning campaign in 2024, he’s eager to continue his journey with the franchise. Arora, who bagged 11 wickets in 10 matches last season, expressed his excitement about being back with the team. “KKR feels like family,” he said. The 27-year-old has been part of the Knight Riders for four seasons, and this emotional connection makes his return special. “It feels like my own family. I didn’t want to play for any other team,” he added.

The pacer has been working hard on improving his skills, especially death bowling. Arora performed well in the powerplay during IPL 2024, and now he aims to be more effective in the death overs. He’s focused on perfecting his slower balls, yorkers, and other variations, which he’s been practicing in red-ball cricket.
Arora Credits His Development to Bharat Arun’s Guidance
Arora also credited KKR’s bowling coach, Bharat Arun, for his growth. “Working with Bharat sir has been amazing. His experience has helped me improve every year,” he said. Arora is confident that under Arun’s guidance, he’ll perform even better this season.
The partnership between Arora and fellow pacer Harshit Rana has been one of the team’s key strengths. “We’ve created a strong bond both on and off the field,” Arora shared. The two have been effective together, and with both retained in the squad, they’re excited for another successful season.
With high expectations from fans, Arora knows the challenge ahead. “Winning the title once is great, but to do it consistently is the real challenge,” he said. Arora is looking forward to living up to these expectations and performing well.
