Celebrities and politicians react to the success of Aditya L1

NEW DELHI: As India on Saturday 11:45 AM launched the Aditya L1 space vehicle to study the sun, here’s how excited celebrities and politicians reacted to the success of this mission that comes barely nine days after the country saw the victory over the landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the moon’s surface.

Ajay Devgn: The Shivaay star, who had recent success at the box office with Drishyam 2 and was awarded the national award for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, was among the first few celebrities to share his thoughts.


Shehzad Poonawalla: BJP’s National spokesperson, who is known for his acerbic reactions and ripostes on Congress and AAP, expressed his excitement by tweeting “The launch of 1.4 billion prayers & aspirations.”

Himanta Biswa Sarma: Chief Minister of Assam, who frequently garners the limelight with his barbs on Rahul Gandhi, invoked India’s rich past of Hindu traditions and ethos, on the success of the mission as he remarked, ‘A momentous occasion for Bharat, where for thousands of years we have revered Surya Dev.'”

Randeep Hooda: The ‘’Jism 2’’ actor who has been making headlines for his portrayal of Savarkar in his self-directed film ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar,’ also joined other B-town celebrities in expressing his views on the mission.

Arvind Kejriwal: The AAP supremo congratulated ISRO and all Indians, tweeting that the mission carries the hopes of billions.

 

Prominent Congress leaders, including Karnataka’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Rajya Sabha MP KC Venugopal, extended their heartfelt congratulations to ISRO for the successful launch of the solar observatory mission.
