NEW DELHI: The Mahakumbh concluded yesterday, and on February 5, PM Modi took a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, offering prayers to Goddess Ganga.
Now, continuing the celebration of traditions and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage, he will participate in the renowned Sufi music festival, Jahan-e-Khusrau 2025, on February 28 in New Delhi.
The festival marks its 25th anniversary this year and will begin at 7:30 PM. It will bring together global artists to celebrate the legacy of Amir Khusrau.
It will take place from 28th February to 2nd March, with performances by artists from various countries, showcasing Sufi traditions.
In addition to the musical and cultural performances, the festival will also feature the TEH Bazaar, where the Prime Minister will explore unique handmade crafts and products under the One District-One Product initiative.
Moreover, the bazaar will showcase a wide range of Indian handicrafts, handlooms, and short films that highlight the craftsmanship from various regions across the country.

The festival, organized by the Rumi Foundation, is a tribute to Sufi music, poetry, and dance. It aims to highlight the rich cultural and artistic diversity of India and beyond.
This event was first founded by renowned filmmaker and artist Muzaffar Ali in 2001, and it has since become a symbol of unity through art and culture.
Prime Minister Modi, is a strong advocate for the promotion of India’s diverse cultural heritage, will be part of this vibrant celebration of Sufi art.
His participation underscores the importance of preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural traditions.
When PM Modi visited the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj on 5th Feb., he was among the 55 lakh devotees who took a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam.

Dressed in a saffron-colored jacket, blue track pants, and a rudraksha chain around his neck, he arrived at Prayagraj airport around 10 AM and proceeded to Arail Ghat.
Accompanied by UP CM Yogi Adityanath, he reached the Sangam Nose by boat before stepping into the waters alone to take a dip and recite mantras.
Sharing his experience on X, PM Modi said, “Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snana at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection… May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health, and harmony.”
Officials stated that PM Modi offered “Arghya” to the sun god and prayed to the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
Later, he performed a puja wearing a black kurta, saffron stole, and Himachali cap. Local priests highlighted that his visit coincided with Bhishm Ashtami during Gupta Navratri, a time for both Goddess Durga’s worship and ancestral offerings.
