Mann Govt Launches Crop Inspection Drive, 2,167 Patwaris Deployed, Goal to Pay Farmers in 45 Days

Punjab initiated a state-wide crop damage assessment after recent floods, promising compensation within 45 days. Farmers will receive ₹20,000 per acre for crop loss. Families with destroyed houses get ₹1,20,000, partially damaged houses get ₹40,000. Livestock compensation is also included.

Punjab prepares for monsoon floods, allocates Rs 252 crores

Chief Secretary Anurag Verma conducted a video conference with all Deputy Commissioners of the state on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. The focus of the meeting was to reinforce preparedness measures ahead of the monsoon season, ensuring minimal disruption for residents amidst potential flood threats.
