NEW DELHI: BJP leader Sushil Modi sharply attacked Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, stating that he is becoming the convenor of INDI alliance through blackmail. He said that Kumar hoped to become the Prime Ministerial candidate, so he separated from the NDA alliance.

“Nitish Kumar thought that the INDI alliance would make him the Prime Ministerial candidate, but his expectations were shattered. Now he is being made a convenor, a role similar to a clerk. Informing via telephone, arranging meetings and coordinating. He thought that if he didn’t receive anything (by the opposition alliance), he would go along with the BJP. But the BJP shut its doors. He hoped to become a PM candidate, but his expectations were shattered,” said Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi.

Modi also attacked Bihar’s Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav over his remarks on Ram Mandir and said both temples and hospitals are important. Former Bihar Deputy CM said, “Tejashwi is the Health Minister. Demolish all temples and mosques and build hospitals. Those who are sick will go to the hospital, but if someone needs mental peace, spiritual peace, they need a temple. There is no contradiction between Ram and roti.”

In a statement regarding the Ram Mandir, Yadav had said that hospitals are more necessary than temples.

He further said that a person wants both ‘Ram and roti’. During an interaction with the media, Modi said, “A person also wants to pray to God. If there is a problem with the Ram Temple, then why did Tejashwi Yadav go to Tirupati with his entire family? Harming the faith of Hindus is the purpose of the INDIA bloc. This is Tejashwi Yadav, whose father Lalu Prasad Yadav fired at the Karsevaks.

“Narendra Modi’s government did not build the temple but at the direction of the Supreme Court, the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust built the temple with the support of the people.”

Modi also said that this falls under the strategy of INDIA bloc leaders, which is to humiliate Hindus and appease a certain community.
