DEHRADUN: Years after he left Uttarakhand to make his mark as a cricketer, India’s star wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant, was named the brand ambassador for the state.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami felicitated him at a programme organised at Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Dhami said, “The way Rishabh Pant accomplished the goal with his determination and strong willpower in very normal circumstances would inspire everyone.”

“A better environment is being created by the state government for the youth of the state to make their mark at the national and international level,” the CM added.

CM Dhami pointed out that according to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is becoming a leader in every field.

“Players like Rishabh Pant will inspire everyone. A good environment will be created for sports in the state,” added the CM.

Expressing his gratitude, Pant said, “Honorable Chief Minister has given me an opportunity to do something for the state. I will try my best to shoulder the responsibility to the best of my ability.”
