NEW DELHI: The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has extended the judicial custody of former Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh until March 2.

During the hearing, the court directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to provide CCTV footage of the accused during their interrogation. The court also reserved its decision on the application seeking permission to scrutinise the documents related to the case.

In another development, the Delhi HC heard arguments regarding Sisodia’s regular bail plea in the liquor policy case. The court has reserved its decision on the maintainability of the bail plea, with the announcement scheduled for February 21.

During the proceedings, the ED questioned the maintainability of Sisodia’s bail application, arguing that simultaneous regular bail pleas cannot be entertained in two different courts simultaneously. The ED contended that the regular bail plea should not be heard until the curative petition is pending in the Supreme Court.

In response, Sisodia’s lawyer argued that the investigative agency failed to produce any court order in support of the curative petition during the hearing. The lawyer also highlighted that the ED had assured the Supreme Court that the trial would be completed within 6 to 8 months, yet the trial has not commenced yet.
