Fly Within Uttarakhand At Rs 3-8K As Pawan Hans Makes Rides Cheaper

DEHRADUN: To enhance the regional connectivity in Uttarakhand, Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) is now providing services to Kumaon sectors under RCS UDAN connecting Dehradun to Pithoragarh via Haldwani/ Pantnagar. It has also started operating direct routes to Srinagar and Gauchar from Dehradun.

Pawan Hans had been operating helicopter flights on routes in the Garhwal sector .under RCS UDAN since July 2020, on Dehradun – New Tehri – Srinagar – Gauchar – Srinagar – New Tehri – Dehradun route.

Union Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had flagged off the helicopter services of Pawan Hans on the new routes on October 8 from Jolly Grant Airport.

The service will benefit passengers who will have the option of direct flights in Uttarakhand and the travel time will be reduced due to direct flights available to Srinagar (Uttarakhand) and Gauchar.

The ticket fares have also been reduced up to 50%.

Passengers will now have the option of multiple flights to Gauchar and Srinagar (with stop over flights).

Availability of direct flights and reduced fares will ensure an increase in passenger footfall and better air-connectivity to the residents of Garhwal and Kumaon region within the state and with the rest of the country via Dehradun.
