New Delhi: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced his government’s vision to transform Punjab into an investor-first state, moving beyond its image as an agriculture-dependent economy. He said the focus is now on creating transparent governance, strong infrastructure, and industry-friendly policies to attract major investments and generate employment for Punjab’s youth.

Speaking at a roadshow in Gurugram, CM Mann held direct talks with leading industrialists and assured them of Punjab’s safe, supportive, and favorable environment for investment. “Punjab is fully prepared to welcome industries. We will provide every possible support to ensure seamless operations and long-term growth,” Mann said, highlighting Punjab’s potential as a secure market with vast opportunities.

The Punjab delegation engaged with top corporate houses including Hero Cycles, Ralson India, Amber Enterprises, Uniminda, and GMR Airports, among others. Discussions explored investment opportunities in mobility, electronics, renewable energy, automobile parts, infrastructure, and consumer products. Many companies expressed strong interest in expanding into Punjab.

To streamline the investment process, CM Mann announced the government’s dedicated single-window platform ‘Invest Punjab’, which will ensure quick approvals and hassle-free clearances. “Our aim is to save investors’ time, boost confidence, and make Punjab the most attractive investment destination,” he added.

The Gurugram roadshow was part of preparations for the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026, where the state aims to showcase its new industrial growth roadmap. The summit will bring together global and domestic business leaders to position Punjab as a rising hub for investment and industry.

On this occasion, Pramod Bhasin, founder of Genpact and Chairman of Punjab Innovation Mission, lauded the government’s initiative. “Punjab’s atmosphere is very good for investment. With the right policies and vision, the state can become a new center for industry and employment,” he said.

With this push, the Mann Government has sent a strong message to industrialists across India—that Punjab is not just ready for investment, but is determined to lead as a hub of industry, jobs, and sustainable development.
