After the lunch episode NK premachandran heaps praises on Modi over promptness in coordinating projects

KOLLAM: Days after RSP leader and Kollam MP NK Premachandran was invited for lunch, along with a few other opposition leaders, at the parliament canteen by Prime Minister Modi, and following criticism from leaders of the CPI(M) and the Congress, the senior parliamentarian has showered praise on PM Modi over his promptness in coordinating and implementing central government projects.

Premachandran stated, “If the central government takes up a project, it will be completed, and the Prime Minister’s office will assess the project properly.” The Prime Minister recently inaugurated the foundation laying of Rs 41,000 crore railway infrastructure projects and the construction of the Kollam Kundara Pallimukku flyover.

Premachandran, while participating in the inauguration program of the Kollam Kundara Pallimukku flyover construction, highlighted the projects undertaken by the central government.

“One thing I am sure of is that if the central government or the railways decide to take up a project, the Prime Minister’s office will monitor it every month after it is included in the list of projects to be inaugurated and will strictly evaluate them. So naturally, I do not doubt that this project will happen,” Premachandran expressed.

He added, “I spoke to the officials. When asked whether it should be inaugurated at the initial stage, the officials also said that the projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister will be properly evaluated by his office. If there are any technical hurdles, the central government will cooperate with the state government to resolve them.” Premachandran emphasized that it was a blessing that the Prime Minister inaugurated this project.

Meanwhile, RSP MP N K Premachandran will be contesting again for the Lok Sabha from his sitting seat in Kollam in Kerala. Premachandran, a three-time MP and former minister in Kerala, is contesting from Kollam for the third time in a row. In 2019, he secured a margin of 1.48 lakh votes. His recent participation in a lunch hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a group of MPs from the parliamentary canteen had led to the CPM alleging that the MP had a ‘secret understanding’ with the RSS and the Sangh Parivar.
