Politically Isolated Prashant Kishor Plays Cheap Regionalism To Remain Relevant

Political Consultant turned activist Prashant Kishore during his ongoing Jan Suraj Padyatra claimed that PM Narendra Modi would never put a factory in Bihar, implying that the PM doesn’t want the supply of cheap labour to different states to stop. He said this at a halt in the border district of Betiah.

He said while other states were manufacturing cars, mobiles, cement, Bihar is only known for manufacturing labourers and sending hordes of them in buses to other states.

In his speech, Kishore pitted the development in other states against people Bihar alluding to the fact that Bihar’s economic backwardness was caused by some kind of political conspiracy.

He made a pitch for the fact people of Bihar should now demand for factories in Bihar. “They only do Hindu-Muslim, India-Pakistan. And put factories in Surat. Why not in Bihar,” he asked.

Prashant Kishore shot to fame due to his campaign with Modi. Later on he worked with many leaders like Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Telangana’s KCR. In Andhra he worked with Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Prashant Kishor embarked on a 3,500 km ‘padyatra’ from Gandhi ashram in Bihar’s Champaran on October 2.

He is touring Bihar to understand the mood of the people and what people of Bihar want.

He said he wanted to bring change in Bihar as the development in the state has beens stagnant for decades.
