The spark ignited by Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha’s lunch and dinner date in Mumbai last week is still glowing bright. Rumours of a possible wedding between the two are echoing within the Parliament, as Chadha impresses everyone with his sharp and witty responses to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar, who doesn’t miss a chance to comment on his personal life. This amusing exchange has now become a weekly occurrence.

During Tuesday’s Lok Sabha assembly, the entire opposition donned black attire to protest Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification, and Chadha took the opportunity to quip, “Sir, hum kaale aein toh kya hua, dilwale hein,” in reference to the opposition’s attire. Dhankhar playfully replied, “You are looking excellent in black.”

After Chadha’s videos with Chopra went viral, Dhankhar remarked that the AAP MP was already taking up too much space on social media and should allow others to occupy space in the House.

Ever since their date, rumours of a wedding between the two have been circulating in both Delhi’s corridors of power and tinsel town. However, neither has confirmed nor denied their relationship status. Meanwhile, Chadha’s AAP colleague, Sanjeev Arora, congratulated them on their ‘union’ via Twitter on Tuesday. “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to @raghav_chadha and @ParineetiChopra, May their union be blessed with an abundance of love, joy and companionship. My best wishes!!!” tweeted Arora.

When asked by the media during a Parliament visit about his “date with Parineeti,” Chadha cleverly responded, “(Humse Rajneeti ke sawal puchiye, Parineeti ke nahi)Let’s talk about politics, not Parineeti,” leaving the journalist in stitches.
