Off-Duty CRPF Jawan Killed By Terrorists In J&K’s Shopian

SRINAGAR: A CRPF personnel, who was on leave, was shot dead by terrorists in Check Chotipora area of Shopian district in south Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening.

Police said terrorists fired upon Muktar Ahmad Doie, a jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force, when he was at his home.

He was critically injured in the attack and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared brought dead. Mukhtar had recently took leave to visit his home, the police said.

The police has cordoned off the area to search for the terrorists, the Kashmir Police stated.

The killing came 24 hours after terrorists shot dead a sarpanch in Kulgam district.
