Noida police to summon Elvish Yadav for a third time in snake venom case

Big Boss OTT winner and YouTuber might be summoned for a third time

NEW DELHI: Controversial YouTuber and an accused in the snake venom smuggling case, Elvish Yadav is set to be summoned for a third time by the Noida Police, after he skipped the second summon citing health issues.

According to police officials, the five accused who had been remanded to police custody for 54 hours, had taken them across Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad for evidence collection. The police claimed that during the interrogation, information regarding a few suspected parties had also emerged.

Among new suspected parties, Rahul Fazalpuria, a Haryanvi singer’s name also surfaced during the probe. Officials from the Noida Police had taken the five accused to Fazalpuria’s village to take him into their custody.

The Haryanvi singer will now be party to the probe against Elvish and the five accused.

A police officer, on the condition of anonymity, stated, ‘Snakes were also used in several parties in Fazilpuria village. The case has connections to Rajasthan.” The official added, “In the coming days, there might be a significant revelation regarding the supply of snakes to parties.”

Earlier, Elvish Yadav was summoned twice for interrogation. He participated in only one probe for only three hours at midnight. When he was summoned for a second time, he claimed that he was suffering from “throat infection and fever”.

Noida Police is slated to issue a reminder notice to Elvish Yadav for questioning.

Earlier, a case was filed against the Big Boss OTT winner after snakes and snake venom were recovered from a rave party on Thursday night. However, he mooted the charges levelled against him stating that the claims were “baseless, fake and not even one per cent true” in a video on his social media.

Maneka Gandhi, a Bharatiya Janata Party MP and the founder of the People for Animals NGO, had said that her organisation had been following Elvish’s activities very closely, which had led them to file the First Information Report.

Ironically, the 26-year-old YouTuber had also been felicitated by the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP government in Haryana for winning Big Boss as a wild card entry.
