New Delhi: In a significant breakthrough, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two individuals for harboring the terrorists responsible for the horrific Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives and left 16 injured on April 22, 2025.

The accused, identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar from Batkote and Bashir Ahmad Jothar from Hill Park, Pahalgam, provided shelter, food, and logistical support to three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists before the attack. The NIA confirmed that the attackers were Pakistani nationals who selectively targeted tourists based on their religious identity.

The terrorists had stayed at a seasonal dhok (hut) in Hill Park before executing the massacre. The NIA has charged the duo under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, for aiding the terrorists.

The case remains under investigation as authorities pursue further leads to dismantle the terror network behind the attack.
