Modi meets Boney Kapoor, Bhutanis, adores UP Film City project

Kapoor is building UP’s first International Film City in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area.

LUCKNOW: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hailed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s dream project of International Film City and praised it as the leading filmaker and producer Boney Kapoor — who has jointly won the bid with Delhi-based real estate group Bhutanis – for thep roject in Yamuna Expresway Industrial Authority — took everybody around at stalls at the UP investors Summit.

Kapoor is building UP’s first International Film City in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area.

His company, Bayview Projects LLP, that has 48% stake by Kapoor, 26 % by Pramesh Construction Company led by Ashish and Prem Bhutani and rest 26% by Noida Cyberpark , won the UP government bid for Rs 1,510 crore last month.

Kapoor has enjoyed close bond with UP government for providing tech know to the officials on tapping shooting locations.

“Boney ji provided the Prime Minister with detailed information about the unique features of the proposed International Film City at its stall in the presence of CM Yogi. The Prime Minister nearly 10 minutes understanding the essence at the stall,” said a senior UP government official.

Rajeev Arora, the GM of Bayview Projects, also held interaction with PMO alongside the noted filmaker.

“I explained how the project is being designed after conducting a comprehensive study of film cities worldwide, and how this will offer one stop solution to both national and international the filmmakers where they will come up with their ideas, create entire films, and depart once the project is completed,” said Kapoor.

“We have made an effort to showcase the features of the Film City at the stall. In the Film City, we are planning to establish various permanent sets, including a theme park, amusement park, studios, golf club, and major temples. Visitors to the stall can catch a glimpse of the artistic representation of these features. Through the use of curved screens, one can experience what the Film City might look like in the future,” said Arora

The sets will also include replicas of prominent religious sites such as the Grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Kedarnath Dham included in the four Dhams of Uttarakhand along with major religious places of the country and a set of major state-wise locations.

Additionally, sets representing major international locations like London, Canada, and Switzerland will be featured in the Film City.

The Film City will incorporate elements like five-star hotels, fountains, and various other amenities.

This comprehensive setup will allow the shooting of more than 30 films simultaneously.
