Modi-Biden discuss strengthening bilateral ties, global issues

Biden held a significant phone conversation today, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Grounded in shared values like democracy and the rule of law, the partnership aims to advance the interests of both nations and the global community.During the call, PM Modi expressed his appreciation for President Biden’s dedication to deepening bilateral ties. The leaders reviewed recent progress and reiterated their vision to benefit humanity through their partnership.

A key focus of the conversation was the ongoing situation in Ukraine, where PM Modi emphasized India’s support for peace and stability through dialogue. The leaders also discussed concerns over the deteriorating situation in Bangladesh, stressing the need for protecting minorities and restoring law and order.

Furthermore, they underscored their commitment to multilateral cooperation, especially within the Quad alliance, to tackle global challenges. The call concluded with an agreement to maintain regular communication to enhance bilateral and multilateral collaboration.
